Recently I have been going to Hatyai, Thailand lately and spent alot of money shopping for Chinese New Year clothes and back to school stationery. I bought a new set of coloured pens from Staedler and I'm really happy. They're so bright and pretty. I couldn't resist taking the set of the pens and running to the counter to pay for it. Ten coloured ball-point pens for 99 baht. It was worth it. I also bought a teal/turqoise coloured dress shirt from Wrangler for Chinese New Year. It has little studs on the shoulder and on the back. Very cowboy-ish if you ask me but I like it all the same.
Not only have I been shopping for clothes and stationery, I bought alot of foodstuff too. I bought Pocky, Pretz, oddly flavoured delicious drinks ( like strawberry cheesecake) and chocolates. Apparently, Hershey chocolate there isn't very pricey. And they have a wide variety of Mentos and chewing gum. They also have the limited edition orange MnM's. They were so yummy that I bought back five packets home!
The picture above was taken at a morning market. I love walking in the morning markets! They have so many interesting things and the air is filled with all sorts of smells. There, I saw a deep fried quail, with head and feet still intact. At first when I saw it, I thought it was a fried pigeon, being the silly little dimwit I am. And also when you walk around the market, you will be able to find all sorts of bright coloured flowers for sale. And that was what inspired me to take the picture above.
I have to sign out now. Going to make lunch. Will blog soon!
